A Pinewoods Story
I went to a camp called Pinewoods last summer over in Boston, MAssachusets. I flew over there on 3 different planes which was very fun because i felt awful grown up. although I was only 14. when i FINALLY got to conneticut, I first met my Grandma and her husband Shelly( my step grandpa) and they drove me to their house where i collapsed in a heap of sierraness. I was out in a few minutes on their comfee large,blanket piled couch.
I woke up next morning and for the next few days, i went to town, bought organic stuff that i never get and i visited with Suzy's friends Linda and Jerry. they are just like aunt and uncles to me and i love them. the next week I went to meet my Aunt Chloe, and she , Andrew( a handsome funny guy with freckles) and i went to Pinewoods in Andrews hybrid car!! ohhhh fancy! when we got to pinewoods Chloe was soooo excited, I never understood untill now why she would get that way.
The first few days i made about 12 new friends and ate all the best vegitarian food in the world. I also went canoing took Rapper sword dance classes and got to go swimming a ton. Every night, everyone went to C#( the main dance hall) and danced together for about 3-4 hours a night it was soooo fun I'll neer forget it! Everyone danced with everyone and there was no prejidisim in any way. I wore skirts and ran bare foot just like I always have.
One night I met a guy named Wade Gobel and later I met his sister Amy Gobel. they were both soooo sweet. I liked amy because she reminded me of a sister i never had and wade, well he is the type you can tell anything to and he will understand you. he is a truly amazing person and he likes poetry and is the most amazing actor in the world.Although I havn't seen him act, I've seen pictures of his acting and i baffles me. Both Amy and Wade still keep contact with me for which I'm much obliged because in hillbilly hell, there isn't much diversity, dance or contra music.
When camp was actually over, it was a sad time, Wade and i said our last good byes for a long year. Amy and i knew we had to call each other. We all kissed each other good bye and left in sad but happy tears knowing that we would see each other once more. Pinewoods was the best camp I've ever been to and i am going back next year and the year after that and the year after that and you get it. If you havn't gone to Pinewoods yet, your deprived of freedom, life, dance and music!
